The purple cars are really lovely, pity is we do not have violet potatoes in Italy so I cannot do it unless I paint and the flavour would come horrible ....

In Giappone la ITO HAM FOODS è una delle marche di cibi surgelati più conosciute, hanno praticamente tutto quello che si utilizza per creare un bento lunch, basta comprare cibo già pronto, scaldarlo e comporre. Una delle cose più comuni e ho viste è sicuramente la confezione di Hello Kitty contenente micro wiener che sulla pelle hanno le faccette della gattina più conosciuta al mondo, ne ho viste parecchie quando sono stata in Giappone nel 2008 girando i supermercati per curiosare un pò. La ItoHamFoods ha addirittura un sito che spiega come utilizzare e come confezionare bento carini con addirittura il conto delle calorie per persona (cliccate qui).
Peccato che il sito sia interamente in giapponese però anche se non sappiamo leggere o capire bene e abbiamo altri prodotti, possiamo lo stesso copiare le ricette e avere gli stessi risultati. Cliccate su ogni immagine per vedere meglio il pasto e poi componetelo copiando le foto. Molti dei cibi che sono utilizzati da noi sono irreperibili ma possiamo sempre modificare le ricette e reinterpretarle, ad ogni modo i cibi base ci sono dappertutto e non è detto che il sapore dello stesso bento giapponese piaccia a tutti per cui adattiamolo in versione italiana usando la carne, le verdurine, i wiener, il riso (ma cucinato secondo ricetta giapponese) e ogni ingrediente che possiamo trovare al supermercato.

La media delle calorie si aggira sulle 400 circa, i primi bento raffigurati partono da 350 calorie, verso la fine a pagina 6 ci sono bento da 800 calorie circa, ci sono bento piccoli e bento lunch giganti per almeno tre persone, bento decorati con animaletti e bento normali ma tutti hanno un aria appetitosa.

back to school bento

It would have been cute to prepare Momichan a bento for kindergarden but in this structure is prohibited to let kids take their own meals from home, they all eat lunches prepared in a separate structure very far from kindergarden and not even inside our town.

I cannot give my kidda anything, neither water nor a snack to take with.

First week I will stay with her 15 minutes everyday to let her get accustomed to the new place but it will be the second week she will begin to stay for lunch from 9.00 until 13.15

After that I will have to take her home. The third week finally she will make full time until 16.00 o'clock, she will have lunch and nap at school.

The little bento on the left side is just a bento idea of HapaBento, she says a nostalgic one filled with what I guess was her favourite food ^^

I guess is a healthy cute and simple lunch for a kid like Momo but I guess she will have her bento at shool only when she will be 6 years old not before because is not permitted !
